I grew up in the Midwest and have been interested in movement from an early age.  As a child I studied ballet and continued on to pursue a degree in Dance from the University of Colorado, where I had my first experience with the Alexander Technique.  I was living in Buenos Aires, Argentina when I decided to re-visit the Alexander Technique and start taking individual lessons.  I was in pain from an old injury and was unable to dance.  I was looking for anything to help me heal and become aware of how to actively participate in my recovery.  Shortly after, I began a three year teacher training course at the Escuela de Técnica Alexander Buenos Aires, directed by Merran Poplar.

The Alexander Technique not only helped me to radically lower my pain level, it helped to improve my overall functioning and re-spark my curiosity in movement and the process of learning.  The most important shift for me was feeling less dependent on others and empowered by my own ability to promote self healing and self education.

As a teacher, I hope to help others become aware of their potential and create a learning environment that facilitates joy, humor, and growth.  I am very grateful for all of the teachers and students I have had, who continue to teach me new things everyday.  I am a member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique, and the The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique, and fluent in Spanish.
