I believe that movement education can have a profound effect on the way we experience life. From the womb to adulthood we are continuously learning new ways of moving and carrying ourselves. We may not contemplate how we move until we experience an injury, pain, or an undesired symptom. Educated movement can help us not only to recover, but can help to prevent injuries and prolong a sense of well-being in the future.

The experiential study of movement, whether it be through Dance, Yoga, the Alexander Technique, or any other activity continues to deepen and broaden my sense of self. My mission as a teacher is to provide others with an opportunity to experience the marvels of thinking-in-action. I hope to create a dynamic learning environment that invites the student to deepen their understanding of themselves and how they relate to their surroundings.

“It has been a luxury to have weekly sessions of the Alexander Technique with Katie over the last year in Buenos Aires. She has a most gentle and kind presence and a very professional and dedicated approach to her work. I am more than 6’3″ tall and was looking for support to develop a more comfortable posture and let go of some frequent pain and discomfort in my shoulders and spine. After regular sessions with Katie, I have developed some significant and sustainable changes. I have now become more comfortable in my body, and feel most pleased and grateful”.
